Agenda
-
Our workshop will start at Petal Smith studio where we will briefly go through basic design principles that will help you think about your design for the day.
-
Followed by a quick tour to Prahran Market (est. 1864) just a short 5 minutes stroll away through leafy Grattan Gardens.
-
At the market, we will explore fresh seasonal flowers at the local flower stall. You will be guided through your options in terms of what might work best for what you have in mind. Together, we will learn about seasonality, local flower supply chain, best practices when it comes to buying flowers, local Australian and native flora that are commercially available, and how to let the flowers inspire you as you shop.
-
Once you've picked your flowers, we will make our way back to Petal Smith studio where will get our creative and you will be guided by our experienced florist on how to execute your designs.

All tools and various items are provided. Flowers are included in the workshop value.
There will be snacks and drinks. You are welcome to bring your own, and of course feel free to pick up any treats while we are at the market. Prahran Market is Australia's oldest running food market after all!
