Large Trough Vase – Diana Pottery

Large Trough Vase – Diana Pottery

A trough vase, glaze fired circa 1960's.

Teal and maroon glaze.

Diana Pottery, a major name in mid-20th-century Australian ceramics, began production in Marrickville, NSW around 1940–1941. It first made durable cups, mugs, teapots and jugs for wartime canteens before shifting to decorative and domestic pottery after WWII. Its wide range included slip-cast vases, kitchenware, ovenware and hand-painted designs, with more than 200 shapes created over its history. Diana Pottery ceased production in the mid-1970s, but its pieces remain highly sought-after by collectors today.
